Podcasts I Love.

The thing I miss the most about school is learning and being challenged. Podcasts are one small way I feed my desire to learn. The podcasts below challenge my way of thinking and how I view the world. Happy listening!

The Daily

The Daily is a short 20-30 minute podcast that quickly gives a run down of big and important news around the globe. This one is part of my morning routine, often causing me to get completely lost in my thoughts and therefore staring off into the distance.

The Moth

The Moth Podcast features true stories told live at events all around the globe. This one makes me laugh, cry, get angry, smile, and gives me kind of chills that stop me dead in my tracks. Each episode is based on a theme and the storytellers only have a specific amount of time to tell their story. They are each moving in their own way, and each story is very well told. A Feline Roamer: Jaed Coffin is my favorite story.

This American Life

This American Life is a weekly public radio program with a theme chosen for each week that informs different kinds of stories on that theme.  It is unlike The Moth because of its journalistic flair. Full of compelling people, funny moments, big feelings, surprising plot twists, and interesting ideas. Episode 339: Break Up is my favorite episode.

Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!

Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! NPR’s weekly current events quiz. Have a laugh and test your news knowledge while figuring out what’s real and what they’ve made up.
